1.    General information

AFF Recruitment & Executive Search is actively looking for an entrepreneurial Sales & Product Development Manager for one of our clients. This ambitious global producer of organic and sustainable raw materials is looking to expand it's organic fertilizer portfolio with new clients (hobby, sport and agricultural industry) and by creating more comprehensive partnerships with current clients.

The Sales & Product Development Manager will be the lead when it comes to trends and developments, regulatory affairs and technical applications/ possibilities of the B2B organic fertilizer portfolio. 

You will be responsible for marketing, research, acquisition and relationship management (hobby, sport and agricultural industry). The ideal candidate sees the potential of organic fertilizers, initiate R&D project to develop new products (pre-mixes) and acts the business developer/pioneer for the organic raw materials business.

2. Results

  • Development of the sales strategy for the Netherlands  (and Europe), 
  • Development of current and acquisition of new clients within the fertilizer industrie (hobby, sport and agricultural industry)
  • Mapping trends and possibilities, including initiating R&D projects for the company
  • Explore new sales channels within the application possibilities and regulations
  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager


3. Candidate Profile

  • Relevant HBO/WO Degree (HAS, van Hall, WUR)
  • Proven experience of working within the fertilizer industry
  • Knowledge of organic fertilizers is mandatory
  • Willing to travel a minimum of 30% of the time
  • Fluent in English
  • Proven track record in Sales
  • Driven, pro-active, hands-on, client focused and commercially driven
