1. Purpose of the Role

Our client is a fast-growing, sustainability-driven leader in natural food ingredients, supplying multinational customers with high-impact solutions within spices. Operating from its European hub in Amsterdam, the company combines agility and entrepreneurship with the resources of a global group active in 40+ countries.

As Key Account Manager – Spices (Benelux) you will own the commercial agenda for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Your mission is to translate market trends into profitable, value-adding spice solutions that accelerate growth for both existing and new customers in branded FMCG, private-label and industrial channels. Empowered by cutting-edge R&D and a transparent, farm-to-factory supply chain, you act as the entrepreneurial “voice of the customer” and catalyst for innovation.

2. Key Results

  • Revenue & Margin Growth: Meet or exceed annual sales and EBITDA targets for the Benelux portfolio.

  • Strategic Account Development: Deepen relationships through data-driven cross-sell/upsell of value-added spice concepts.

  • New Business: Identify whitespace, convert prospects into long-term partnerships and grow regional market share.

  • Project Leadership: Orchestrate cross-functional bid teams (R&D, Quality, Supply Chain) to deliver customer projects on time and in full.

  • Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Maintain a 12-month rolling forecast and actively manage CRM to ensure transparency.

  • Brand Advocacy: – Represent the company at trade fairs and industry forums across the Benelux.


3. Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (Food Technology, Business, Economics or similar).

  • 5+ years’ B2B sales success within food ingredients (spices experience a strong plus).

  • Fluent in English; Dutch or French is an advantage.

  • Proven ability to build C-level relationships and negotiate complex contracts.

  • Solid grasp of market dynamics, legislation and sustainability programmes in food manufacturing.

  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with CRM and project-management tools.

  • Willingness to travel across the Benelux (?30%).
