1. Purpose of the Position
AFF Recruitment & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Project Manager Engineering for a leading food manufacturer. This role is central to leading and inspiring a team of 5 Senior Project Managers, focused on successfully executing complex projects within the production environment. As a technical expert, you will be the driving force behind the realization of technical challenges, improvements, and future investments. Bringing a strategic vision in engineering, with a keen focus on optimizing processes and implementing innovative solutions to increase production efficiency and capacity.
Your leadership qualities will enable you to mentor and act as a sounding board for your team, fostering their development and collaborating to achieve project objectives.
2. Key Results
- Leading and developing the team of Senior Project Managers;
- Overseeing and coordinating all engineering projects, from concept to completion;
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges in the factory, with a focus on sustainability and innovation;
- Communicating across various levels of the organization, including internationally;
- Developing and implementing a long-term vision for factory improvements and investments;
- Collaborating with diverse departments to ensure alignment and synergy in project execution;
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements within all projects.
3. Knowledge Requirements and Competency Profile
- Minimum university-level education in a technical field;
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role within food production or a related technical industry;
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and project management;
- Strong experience in (international) stakeholder management;
- Extensive knowledge of modern engineering principles and practices, particularly in the food industry;
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, in Dutch and English;
- Proactive attitude, with strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
